About Me

Throughout my nearly 30 years in education, I enjoyed planning the events that accompanied school. Whether it was a field trip for our team of 150 students, back to school night, a parent education session or establishing the first ever craft and vendor fair for our building, bringing people together, brought me joy. I often joked that "in my next life" I wanted to be an event planner.

Then I became a small business owner and layered that on top of the school experiences and began planning events for the community. The bigger the event, the more full my heart.

At the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year, I took the leap and walked away from education. I was fortunate enough to find a small non-profit in need of a part time event planner and I'm now in the next chapter of my life - without needing reincarnation.

I’ve also discovered how much I love the communication side of events—sharing the story behind the work and the people it impacts. Whether I’m writing press releases, creating social media posts and reels, launching our organizational newsletter in Constant Contact, or weaving volunteer and client testimonials into our messaging, I enjoy finding the right words and visuals to bring an event to life. Communicating the heart of an organization has become just as meaningful to me as planning the event itself.
